This picture was taken at the local train-station, and was taken show that a simple, every-day scene can be shown in a different way, and in an artistic way.

My aim for this picture was an exercise to test my ability to take a simple, seemingly boring scene, and show it in a new, interesting and innovative way.

The picture itself is of the Robin Hood rondabout in Newbury, taken on a long exposure, which allowed the passing car's lights to leave a light-trail, which gives the picture a modern twist.

This is personally one of my favourite pictures. It has no editing done to it, but I feel the simplicity makes it eye-catching without any work done to it.

Taken on a trip to Paris, on a camera phone, this photo features possibly one of the city's most iconic landmarks.

The black and white background helps bring the focus onto the bright lights of the Moulin Rouge, and just gives the picture a bit more impact.

Another highly edited picture, I was looking to make an abstract image using a long exposure and a set of different lights.

Designed purely as a test of my Photoshop ability, this image came out better than I ever hoped.

This is a picture that started as one that i didn't like the idea of photoshoping. However, with a little playing around with different effects I decided that the black and white background really highlighted the red flowers.

The inspiration for this photo was  taken from a print bought by a friend. At some point I would like to get a few shots specifically for this effect,

This old tape-measure which was saved from an inherited tool-box was the perfect picture for me to play around with aging grain-type effect, which really compliment the picture's old feel.

I've been looking at a long exposure shot like this for quite a while now, and finally got the filter's i need to make it happen. This is the end result of a little experiment down at the local river.

Taken while playing with a range of translucent items I found around the house, with a small torch, the result has made for a simple but effective picture.

Whilst looking for something to entertain myself with during a power-cut, I picked my my camera, and this is what resulted.

Originally intended to find the different effects of  back-lighting, this turned into a bit of a Photoshop project, with work on the colouring of the vase, and the layering of the light trails.

Another locally taken picture, this was one of my first Photoshop experiments. The black and white effect was added to help emphasize the texture of the bridge, and add to the industrial feel of the image.

Although I was slightly disappointed with the initial image,  the later addition of the smoke effects really bought something extra to the picture, and made it another of my personal favourites.

Taken while out looking for inspiration, this turned into yet another Photoshop project. The plant section was was much more detailed than I first expected, so having to brush round them for the black and white effect took a while longer than I anticipated.

Taken on my phone during a trip to France, the blurring and poor quality from the poor quality camera made this shot look really messy. However, after a couple of tweeks, it has a really nice effect to it.

As it's a style I hadn't ever tried before, I decided to try to create a pop-art themed picture, and this it the result.

This is one of my first experiments with macro photography, using a reversal ring. The detail captured within the flower gives this picture a really cool effect.

This is another long exposure shot from the river, with the rocks giving a really nice effect to the flow of the water.
